Peter Flynn has worked in many areas of Multidisciplinary Engineering in areas ranging from Structural Design, Façade design and low energy building design.
He has lectured for over 25 years in materials in Trinity College Dublin and has worked with Artists including Joseph Walsh in supporting their vision with Engineering and collaboration as an Engineer in Arup.
He has worked globally in the UK, Austria, Denmark, Indonesia, Azerbaijan, South Korea and Brazil.
He was involved in developing the Engineering protocol for inspections of Garment factories in Bangladesh following the collapse of the Rana Plaza factory in 2013 which he says was a particular privilege to assist with.
Projects include the design of the Grand Canal Theatre-Dublin, AIB Bank centre project - Dublin, Glaxo World Headquarters Greenford UK , the Glass stairs of the Pilkington R&D centre in Lathom and the structural design of Magnus Modus in the National Gallery of Ireland by Joseph Walsh.
After 36 technical years he has entered a new phase of life enjoying creating drawings, ceramics and sculptures in bronze exhibiting at the Royal Hibernian Academy summer exhibition in 2022. He continues to work with the Joseph Walsh studio in an technical advisory capacity.
